i like photography because a photograph is life in progress. so its really just my way of recording whats happening around me. because ultimately its the small things that we tend to forget....the everyday stuff.

thus, my pictures are mostly made up of those casual yet important life moments. i believe these spontaneous shots have great value and show the subject in its truest sense. to capture these, i have utilized my digital point-and-shoot more of late. but i still enjoy using my manual camera and having control over my use of light and depth of field.

i love the idea of a planned "photo shoot" as well. its a gift to be able to direct oneself and the people/things they photograph. however, its one that i haven't quite perfected. as well as i just rarely have the time or warm bodies for it.
